I would like to thank everyone that came out to the 2nd Annual Charity Disc Golf Tournament in Longmont today. It was a great success and we raised a total of $1006 – all of which will stay here, locally, in the community, for the OUR Center’s “The Gathering” Thanksgiving meal. Of course, none of this would have been possible without all the work and planning from Katy DeJonge and Anna with The Craftworks Foundation and Old Chicago, respectively. I also would like to thank Chris Martin, owner, of Play It Again Sports in Longmont. Without their support, our prize packs would have had no where near the amount of plastic and disc golf related items. I am very pleased with the way the event ran, and I only hope it gets bigger and better each year.
The final results are posted below. A lot of great rounds were thrown by many players. We had some personal bests and some first times through out the day and nothing makes an event more fun than to know that someone had a true and memorable experience while playing.
I posted all the pictures I took through out the day. I have a group photo of each card and at least 1 photo of each player while on the course. I also have photos from the Ring-O-Fire and a lot of randoms. They are posted on our club’s Facebook page – Photo Album – feel free to tag yourself and your friends.
