The weather is cooling down and the daylight is shrinking…it must be Fall. But, that doesn’t mean disc golf in Longmont is done. We have a few things planned in the next few months and we hope you can come out and join us.
First and foremost, we will be holding our weekly Snow-Glow Rounds beginning November 6th at Centennial Park at 6pm. Sean L. will be running the weekly outings and has a great fall/winter schedule with everything you’ll need to participate as well as a traveling week or two. The schedule has been posted on the Club Events page and more details and discussion can be found on the forums here. Last year Sean L. held these outings every week, regardless of the weather and conditions, and it was a great time and hope all of you can make it out this year and participate.
The other piece of news for the Fall season is that LPDGC will be helping as a host course for Winter Warriors this year. Jeff McCormack & Ray Woodruff of the MHDGC are running the traveling series with a stop here at Centennial Park on November 16, 2013 at 9:00am. Winter Warriors is a great charity based series with a weekly donation of $5 per person. All proceeds not spent on prizes will be donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies! In the past 8 years, their events have raised almost $39,000! Please help support this great cause and our neighboring club by coming out and playing the 18 hole setup that will be in place for that event only. More information can be found here.
2014 Tags will be available as early next year as possible to give you all the most time and opportunity to play for them. We will have more information posted in December so keep an eye out.
